TASML initiated and supported research project “Brain Station” by artist WU Juehui was included in the ZeroOne digital art biennial in San Jose in the United States. TASML in collaboration with EPFL | Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne, Institute of Opera Research of Peking University, Beijing Dance Academy, Central Academy of Drama will organize a 2 weekends workshop to introduce the most current research findings in the synergy of art and science in expanding the frontier of performing arts.
TASML organized a series of workshops introducing fashionable technologies, a nascent area of research in Chinese art and design education. Students and faculty from both Tsinghua and Parsons participated this two week long intensive workshop with great enthusiasm
This residence program partners with ZKM’s Institute of Music and Acoustics as the core collaborator. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to utilize some of the most advanced acoustic technologies including cutting edge sound-dome facilities (http://www.zkm.de/zirkonium). This residence exposes the selected artist to the rich intellectual and creative environment at the ZKM as well as offering technical assistance and will be an invaluable experience for the candidate’s career development.
In collaboration with Institut Français, Goethe Institut (China) and Pro Helvetia, TASML IRP is a new type of artist residence program that focuses on laboratory inspired artistic practice. The program benefits from the rich research culture of Tsinghua’s science and technology community. It is the first such AR program taking place in mainland China.
Led by EPFL in partnership with ZHdK, LMU, and Tsinghua University, the project joins the disciplines of Performing Arts, Media Arts, Architecture, Design, Science and Technology with the aim of creating mutual inspirations that lead to new trajectories for both artistic expression as well as technological experimentation and development.
